Pongo Handmade — Booking & Cancellation Policy
Thank you for booking a workshop with Pongo Handmade. Please read the following before booking:
Booking
Workshops must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance.
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
Cancellations & Refunds
All payments are non-refundable. This is because materials are ordered and prepared specifically for each confirmed booking.
If you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible. Cancellations made at least 7 days before the session will free up your spot for someone else, but no refund will be issued.
No-shows on the day are also non-refundable.
Rescheduling
We're happy to move your booking to a different date, subject to availability, if you contact us at least 7 days before your session. Rescheduling requests made after this window may not be accommodated.
On the day
-
Please arrive on time — sessions cannot be extended for late arrivals, and materials are prepared for the scheduled start time.
-
Please ensure you comply with any age restrictions ahead of booking.
-
Please tell us of any allergies or medical conditions (including asthma, skin sensitivities, or pregnancy) when you book.
Safety Waiver
By booking and attending a workshop, you also agree to the following:
-
Soap-making workshops: participants must be 16 or over, due to the use of sodium hydroxide (lye), a caustic substance that can cause serious skin and eye burns if mishandled.
-
Bath salts workshops: there is no minimum age, though children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
-
Appropriate safety equipment (gloves, goggles) will be provided for lye handling and must be worn at all times during those stages.
-
You will follow all instructions given by Pongo Handmade staff throughout the session, including any instructions to stop, step back, or leave an area for safety reasons.
-
You confirm you have disclosed any relevant allergies or medical conditions via the booking form. If your circumstances change before the session, please let us know as soon as possible.
-
Participation is at your own risk. Pongo Handmade takes reasonable care to run a safe workshop but cannot be held liable for injury, allergic reaction, or damage to personal property (including clothing) arising from participation, except where caused by our negligence.
-
If you are attending with, or on behalf of, a minor, you confirm you have parental/guardian responsibility and consent to their participation under supervision.
By booking, you agree to these terms in full, including the Safety Waiver above.
