Why

Palm oil free?

Not only is Palm Oil bad for the environment, and a major cause of climate change, but it is also the leading cause of orangutan extinction. Habitat loss, which includes palm oil plantations, is the largest threat to orangutans. This species is categorised as critically endangered as a result of loss of their habitat, but thanks to ongoing conservation efforts, orangutans are not currently under threat of extinction.
Our name, Pongo, comes from the scientific name of these amazing animals.

Palm oil alternatives

We use plenty of oils in our soaps, all of them much better for your environment and your skin than palm oil. We use Shea butter, Kokum butter, Babassu oil, Sunflower oil, Castor oil, Olive oil and Grapeseed oil. All of these are high quality oils with very low rates of comedogenicity, which means that they are very unlikely to cause any clogged pores whilst are rich in antioxidants, they are powerful humectants, they have moisturising and hydrating properties as well as having antibacterial effects.

Our mission

Our commitment is to make a difference in the skincare industry by producing high quality soaps ethically resourced, palm oil free with plastic free packaging
